FSU-NC State Game Watch and oh so much more
Debuting at #2 in the BCS poll? Amazing.
Jameis Winston doing insane things? Wow.
More than 160 FSU fans crammed into our game watch for Clemson (see the picture at the right)? Heck, yeah. Let’s do THAT again.
But a lot of football is left before the Noles can punch their ticket to either Miami (Orange Bowl) or Pasadena (BCS title game). First up is a rematch with NC State, who stunned Florida State last year in a second half comeback that derailed FSU’s title hopes. Kickoff is set for Saturday, October 26 at 2:30 p.m., and the occasion will mark the triumphant return of The Bobby and almost 300 former players to Tallahassee. We’ll be at the Warehouse Grille (869 Magazine Street, New Orleans) for the game – those of us who can’t make the 400 mile trek, that is – so please join us for our game watch.
Revenge AND Bobby Bowden? Enough said. Click here to learn more about Coach Bowden’s return to the Doak.
Now, about Miami, who is no doubt breathing a tremendous sigh of relief now that their battle with the NCAA has finally ended.
College Gameday is more than likely to take place in Tallahassee on Saturday, November 2, when the renewed swagger of Miami travels to Doak Campbell Stadium to take on the Seminoles in primetime. Join us at 6:30 p.m. for our game watch (kickoff is currently set for 7:00 p.m.). Can we once again pack our venue and show that garnet and gold runs deep in NOLA? Remember – get there early. As great as the courtyard area is, seating is limited!
On another very exciting note, our club has been nominated as a finalist for Seminole Club of the Year. The awards reception will take place the day before the home game against Miami, and a couple of our board members will be present.
Please also mark your calendars for Seminole Night at the Pelicans, which will take place Wednesday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. Join us for a fun night with the New Orleans Pelicans as they take on the Dallas Mavericks (whose roster features alumnus Bernard James)! You will have the opportunity to sit in courtside seats to watch the Pelicans and Mavericks warm up before the Arena doors open. GNOSC members will receive $33 Lower Corner Seats (discounted from $51) or $38 Lower End Seats (discounted from $50). Click here to purchase tickets now. (Password: Seminole)
