NC State, Boston College and Glory Night
Hail to the Buster! A little over a year after a devastating injury knocked Giants catcher Buster Posey out for the season, he clinched the National League batting title last night, finishing the regular season with a .336 average. Buster becomes the first NL catcher to win the batting title since Ernie Lombardi in 1942.
Next Wednesday, October 10, we’ll hold our next Glory Night at 7:00 p.m. at New York Pizza’s Bronx Bar. Our beloved bartender, the lovely Veronica Mansell, will host us as we watch the 1993 national championship game – yes, THAT Orange Bowl. Join us for a pint and a slice (only $5!) and watch Charlie Ward’s phenomenal game.
The Greater New Orleans Seminole Club will hold game watches for both games at Down the Hatch (1921 Sophie Wright Place, in the Garden District). See you there!
