Boston College and Miami Game Watch Info, Glory Night and the ACC Food Fight continues
This is how I feel today about Saturday night’s loss to North Carolina State. I’m sure many of you feel the same. Things may have been thrown and playcalling may have (or definitely was) questioned. But here’s the great thing: we’re still Seminoles, despite inexplicable conference losses. And we have three events coming up over the next week and a half.
TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 10, we’ll hold our next Glory Night at 7:00 p.m. at New York Pizza’s Bronx Bar (4416 Magazine Street, New Orleans) . Our beloved bartender, the lovely Veronica Mansell, will host us as we watch the 1993 national championship game – yes, THAT Orange Bowl. Join us for a pint and a slice (only $5!) and watch Charlie Ward’s phenomenal game.
On Saturday, October 13, FSU will host Boston College at 4:30 p.m. CT. The upside? Boston College allowed Army to run all over the field on their defense. On Saturday, October 20, the Noles will travel to Miami to face the Canes at 7:00 p.m.
The Greater New Orleans Seminole Club will hold game watches for both games at Down the Hatch (1921 Sophie Wright Place, in the Garden District).
It’s one loss. In 1998, the Noles lost to NC State and still played for the national championship.
In the meantime, please, please, PLEASE bring canned goods to all three events. Help us collect 1,000 pounds of food between now and November 17 to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank through the second annualACC Food Fight.
Can you volunteer to be a greeter at a game watch or social event for the club this fall? Do you want to get involved planning events for the club? E-mail email@example.com to let us know.
